Planet 51 Online Beta Review

Intro: Hey guys! I’m back with a bang! And this is my new review of Planet 51 Online. This will be a very short review, due to the fact that the game kept crashing.

Graphics: The graphics in the screenshot may look good, but seriously, they aren’t. Everything in this game was so ugly, I could stand it. But it is for kids, so they may like it.

Sound: At the game menu, there is no music, which is a bit of a shame really. But luckily when you get ingame there is some music, and for what it is, it isn’t bad, sadly not to my taste though. It sounds alien, though I suppose its meant to.

Gameplay: Okay… lets start with character creation, oh yes, there is none. Really, you log in, and this game dumps you into the world with a randomly generated character and virtually no tutorial. I tried out some minigames and they are some fun, but I couldn’t find any of the so called ‘tasks’ anywhere.

Overall: Overall, Planet 51 Online is an obvious marketing scheme for the movie, which got low reviews as it is (http://uk.rottentomatoes.com/m/planet_51/). It’s also a failed attempt at that. So if you want a child friendly game, which gives you almost nothing to do, go ahead.
